I'll Never Live This Down...

Well, today was not a great day for me...not only was I ridiculously tired all day & a little under the weather, but I also did something I've never done before (and will hopefully never do again)...

When I pulled into the driveway, I failed to hit the brake to stop & instead, hit the gas & crashed into our garage door! What?! I have absolutely NO idea how or why I did this...of course I immediately freak out, start getting upset & call my husband. I guess it wasn't very nice for me to start the conversation off with the phrase,"Baby, I did something really bad..."-because for some reason his first thought was that I had run over our dog! (Thank goodness that wasn't it!)

Well, my husband was just amazing-he made me realize that everything was going to be ok & to remember that at least my daughter & I were safe & at least this situation didn't cause us to get into an accident with another vehicle...

The good news is that my husband & my Dad came & were able to "sort of" fix the garage door (it's at least not bent so much anymore!)...and overall, the damage to our car was minimal-just a few small scratches!. So overall, it wasn't as horrible as I thought in the beginning-and I agree, at least everyone was safe!

So many many thanks to my Dad & husband for fixing a silly girl's mistakes!

...And my lesson of the day is to pay attention to my driving, not the crying baby behind me...
