Materials:
- Bunches of dried lavender (The amounts in each will vary. Check craft stores like Michaels or A.C. Moore)
- Heavy craft scissors
- 20 inches wire (per bundle, more or less. Check craft stores or even the craft section of Walmart)
- 25 inches wire-edged ribbon (per bundle, more or less. Check craft stores or even the craft section of Walmart)
Instructions:
- Purchase bunches of dried lavender from a dried-flower or craft supplier.
- You will need several small branches to create each bundle, which, when finished, will stand approximately eight inches high.
- Unwrap the bunches, discarding any damaged or broken pieces which might protrude from the finished bundle.
- Keeping the flower heads together at the same level, re-form the lavender into a bunch. As you add pieces to the bunch, it will form into a funnel shape. Tie each bunch with wire approximately four and a half inches below the flower heads. Twist to tighten.
- Trim edges until perfectly even so the bundle can stand on its own.
- Finish with a piece of wire-edged ribbon.
Sounds easy enough to me! And the best part is, if you purchase real dried lavender stems, not only will they look wonderful, but they will also smell great!
Happy Crafting!
