Last week during Target's toy clearance, my cousin & I headed into Target & were happily surprised to see there was still a good selection of toys available! I was able to grab some great Christmas gifts!!
I spent a total of $65 (after tax) for about $300 worth of toys!
Between what I was able to get this time, plus what I got at the toy clearance in January (spent $50 for $250-$300 worth of toys), Christmas is pretty much finished for my daughter & the 12 other children we buy presents for!
As far as being prepared for Christmas, I have also started cashing out my Swagbucks for Amazon giftcards & so far have another $30 I'll be using to buy a few more things (with Amazon, be patient because as the holidays approach you'll begin seeing mre & more deals pop up). Seeing that we still have 5 months before Christmas, I'll have plenty of time to collect even more Swagbucks & giftcards!
In addition to Swagbucks , I also have $100 worth of Disney Store gift cards to use (I purchased $2000 worth of Disney gift cards at Sam's before we went on our vacation to Disney World in June to pay for our trip & each $100 giftcard at Sam's included a $10 Disney Store gift card).
In my opinion, being prepared is the most important thing when it comes down to saving money. Remember, Christmas comes the same time every year...it should not be looked at an unexpected emergency.
If you were able to get to Target during their 75% off toy clearance, how did you do? I hope you're as pleased with your haul as I am!
